Day 4- Pondering Pilate

Preparation

You will need:

Bible open to John 18:28-19:16, Matthew 27:24-26

“Walk to the Cross Interactive” open on your device.

Preview the edited clip [approximately 5 minutes long] to make sure it is appropriate for any children in your home. The clip is also edited from the 2004 motion picture “Passion of the Christ” 

Optional- a TV on which to “cast” or “apple play” the video clip from your phone to a large screen. 

Purpose:

To remember that we must wrestle with the Truth, that Jesus is King and respond appropriately to Him in faith. Jesus is King.

Plan:

After opening in prayer, consider reading John 18:28-19:16, and Matthew 27:24-26 for context before watching the video clip. After watching the video, close in prayer asking God to help us always see and respond to the truth of the gospel. In keeping with our “Who’s your One” campaign, pray for friends or family members who may be wrestling with trusting Christ as King. Commit to calling and making a personal invitation for those persons to join you at church on Easter.
