Day 3- The Garden of Gethsemane

Preparation

You will need:

Bible open to John 17-18:14

“Walk to the Cross Interactive” open on your device.

Preview the edited clip [approximately 10 minutes long] to make sure it is appropriate for any children in your home. The clip is edited from the 2004 motion picture “Passion of the Christ”. If too intense, consider taking a screenshot of Jesus praying, then read the passage for the family.

Optional- a TV on which to “cast” or “apple play” the video clip from your phone to a large screen.

Purpose:

To remember the humanity of Jesus as he experienced betrayal and the reality of what would soon take place on the cross.

Plan:

After opening in prayer, consider reading John 17-18:14, before watching the video clip. Close in prayer asking God to help you obey Him in times of trial.
